To be eligible, you must meet specific Medicare criteria — including a diagnosis of diabetes, ongoing insulin therapy, and regular visits to your healthcare provider (at least every six months).
What Will Medicare Pay for Dexcom Supplies?
If you qualify, Medicare covers Dexcom supplies under the medical benefit category. Once your annual deductible has been satisfied, you’ll typically pay 20% of the billed amount as co-insurance. If you have a Medicare Advantage plan or supplemental insurance, your out-of-pocket costs may be reduced. Important Requirements for Coverage
To receive Dexcom supplies through Medicare, you must use a receiver approved for use with your Dexcom CGM system. Even if you also use a compatible smartphone, Medicare requires that you maintain use of the receiver. Supplies used exclusively with a smartphone or tablet are not covered under Medicare rules.
